Child Care

Toddler

This is our developmentally appropriate program for children ages twelve months through two years. Children enjoy small groups with low teacher to child ratios, planned activities to enhance development, and an emphasis on health, wellness, and nutrition with a certified dietary manger on staff.

We follow the primary caregiver philosophy, which allows children to remain with the same caregivers during this time. We offer quarterly developmental evaluations, parent-teacher conferences, and a portfolio evaluation and progress tracking system established for each child.

Preschool

This is our developmentally appropriate program for children ages three through five years. Children in our preschool classes enjoy small groups with low teacher to child ratios, planned activities to enhance development, and an emphasis on health, wellness, and nutrition.

We offer quarterly developmental evaluations, two parent-teacher conferences a year, a portfolio evaluation and progress tracking system established for each child, and hearing and vision screenings for all children.

Preschool Special Education

This is our developmentally appropriate program in an inclusive preschool classroom for children ages three through five years. Children must meet specific eligibility requirements in order to receive special education services.

Children enjoy small groups with low teacher to child ratios, planned activities to enhance development, and an emphasis on health, wellness, and nutrition. We offer quarterly developmental evaluations, two parent-teacher conferences a year, a portfolio evaluation and progress tracking system established for each child, and hearing and vision screenings for all children.

Instruction is provided by a state licensed Special Education Teacher. We implement a formal, written individualized education plan for each child. We offer inclusive classrooms with over 55% of children experiencing typical development. We also offer speech, physical and occupational therapy, and transportation services.

Civitan Children's Center Features

The Civitan Children’s Center preschool program has been a staple in this community for more than 40 years. Teachers at the center are qualified, life-long learners that encourage the development of positive social skills that children will master as they grow. Our Center is NAEYC accredited, has Paths To Quality's highest rating level, and all staff and personnel are CPR and first aid certified. We are part of the CACFP food program, and are a nut-free facility. We offer multiple daily outdoor play and exploration time when permitted by weather, and our entire facility is secure and monitored at all times. Speech, Physical and Occupational therapy services are offered on site for children that qualify.

Child Care Cost Assistance
