Ancillary Services include Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Olympics, Recreational Programs, Support Services and Social Work, and Limited Transportation for individuals with disabilities.
The Dee Montgomery Fund was established in 1991 by Dee’s daughter, Dianne Cartmel, with memorial donations to be used to provide for needs of people with disabilities that are not funded by Medicaid or Medicare. Mrs. Montgomery was a community activist whose husband had served as mayor of Vincennes. She had a personal interest in disability services since her grandson was in a KCARC residential program. Since its inception, the Dee Montgomery Fund has provided for such things as daycare to allow a mother with a disability to continue her employment, a dental partial plate for a group home resident, clothing items, furniture and household items that made it possible for a young man to move from a basement into his own apartment and payment of fees to allow attendance at summer camp and participation in Special Olympic competitions.
You may support people with disabilities by sending your donation to The Dee
