On Saturday October 22, 2016 KCARC hosted its 44rd Annual Awards Banquet.  Over 300 people attended the fun filled, successful evening.  The purpose of the banquet is to annually celebrate the achievements of people with disabilities and to recognize volunteers and supporters of KCARC.  This year Kyle Muesser was chosen as Student of the Year for the great strides he made while attending the Civitan Children’s center. Olivia Taylor, who has been with KCARC for the last 6 years, was chosen as KCARC’s Employee of the Year.  She shows outstanding work ethic and is a valuable staff to Dove Manufacturing Plant 2.  Ron Taylor was chosen as Resident of the Year. Ron has shown great improvements in many aspects of his life since he began with KCARC back in 1989. Mackenzie and Macy Gentry were honored as Volunteers of the Year. These two young ladies spent a great deal of their summer volunteering with the KCARC individuals at the Baker Center. The individuals loved spending their day doing activities with the 2 of them.  Lois Moore was chosen as the Lois Little Award for Excellence.  This award was named after Lois Little for her dedication and superior work performance during her 25 years of employment at KCARC.  Lois shows all employees and individuals how great KCARC is with her positive attitude and dedication
